Get ready… Zeppelin’s music is playing at the Westbury NYCB Theatre on Saturday 5th April 2014! In the 70’s, Zeppelin’s music made them the biggest band in the world. With hits like Immigrant Song, Stairway to Heaven, and When The Levee Breaks; those British boys touched on something innovative and everlasting. Windborne Productions presents The Music of Led Zeppelin is composed by Brent Havens, and performed by an orchestra of brilliantly talented musicians. You won’t want to miss seeing this Grammy award winning music live.
Led Zeppelin, originally The New Yardbirds, was formed in London in 1968. The original members ( Jimmy page, Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham) are considered the forefathers of the Heavy Metal genre. In the early years, their guitar driven, blues-meets-folk style led to some commercial success (9 records from ’69 – ’82), though they were no critic favourites at the time. As the years went on, the band’s popularity was on the rise. Record breaking tours and the rock star life rumours of debauchery gave rise to some of most influential and eternal albums of the 20th century, at least according to Mikal Gilmore (Rock Critic). Brent Havens has composed music for television, films, and commercials for over forty years. Windborne Productions seeks to present their audiences with a rich musical experience like none other. Their first live classic rock production with a full orchestra was overwhelmingly well met by audiences. Come to the NYCB Theatre at Westbury, ready to get groovy!Don’t get hustled out of a good time! Grab your tickets and get ready for a slammin’ night of tunes!
