Though he is technically classified as a Folk singer, Arif Lohar has taken nuances of genre and lanes and thrown them completely out of the window. The son of legendary Pakistani folk singer Alam Lohar, Arif rose to prominence first in Pakistan and India in the early 2000s while collaborating with other artists in the diaspora and playing his Chimta - a traditional south asian instrument often used in Pakistani folk music and consistently used throughout Lohar’s music. Between his iconic father and his own interest in music and acting, Arif was able to make a name for himself - and has propelled into stardom, becoming the next Lohar to make his name known internationally.
Arif sports over one million monthly listeners on streaming platforms across the board, and has also starred in over fifty Bollywood movies and short films throughout his career. He has toured around the world to the tune of over fifty countries and places he has sung - including the U.K., China, and the USA, and he has sung for crowds of hundreds of thousands before - including at The Asian Games, which had close to a million attendees when he took the stage. He has also campaigned and been an avid advocate of human rights and health, and has formed a trust with his family for his charitable endeavours. Arif Lohar is absolutely 100% for the people and the pride of his diaspora - which is why we are so excited to have him here this summer at Flagstar Westbury for a special night of music, love, and family.
