Westbury Music Fair
The Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair has always been known for putting on these music fests with legendary performers. On Thursday, February 13th, 2025, it’s 70s soul music’s turn to take the circular stage. The 70s Soul Jam will bring Philadelphia’s own The Stylistics to headline the event. There are still two of the founding members on tour with this iconic band that will have the crowd singing and dancing on this night.
From Jersey, Sonny Bivins’ The Manhattans got the call to represent their region at this event that, by the way, can serve as your perfect early Valentine’s Day date. Sonny Bivins is no longer with us, but his legacy lives on through the band. “Kiss and Say Goodbye” is the track that they use as their calling card.
Peaches & Herb are also going to be present on this night to make sure that you “Shake Your Groove Thing!” That’s one of the best ways to get the party started, for sure. The original “Herb” is still on tour in this duet. Keep in mind that these groups are the real deal; this won’t be one of those cover band events.
William Hart's Delfonics are also ready to spice up the night. This group has gone through some changes since the untimely death of lead singer William Hart. They brought along some veterans of the soul game to fill in. You can be sure that they’ll get up there and sing their classic “La-La Means I Love You.”

You already know all of the performers who are going to be gracing the circular stage at the Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair. As mentioned, these are not cover bands that are going to be singing 70s classics. They are the real deal in most cases, unfortunately, what remains of some of these iconic groupings. You’re probably going to be surprised to see a few of the members of The Stylistics, for example, who are in their 70s still busting out some of their traditional dance moves. They prove every night, they're on tour, that they’re probably going to be doing this for at least a few more years. That being said, this event is one that you don’t want to miss.
At these events, whether it be this 70s Soul Fest or the 80s disco concert that takes place in Westbury, New York, you can bet that you won’t get too much downtime. There’s usually a presenter and a DJ that’s playing music throughout the entire night. That way, even in the moments when a new performer is ready to step out on stage, you’ll have a chance to continue to dance. Of course, that’s completely optional; with so many great songs coming from the stage from their original performers, you may need to catch your breath once in a while. Regardless of how much you want to sing and dance on this night, make sure to dress accordingly because the 70s are making a comeback at the Westbury Music Fair on February 13th!
Keep in mind that for this event, the entirety of the stands around the stage are going to be available. The thing is, you probably want to sit in a place where the performers won’t be giving their backs to you. Of course, these bands have a ton of experience performing in these types of venues, so they’ll make a point to ensure that they don’t keep their backs to a certain part of the theater throughout the whole performance. In spite of their best efforts, it may be ideal to pick a spot that’s on one of the sides. That way, you’ll at least have a decent view of the performers at all times.
