Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair
Wanna see the best blues guitarists perform live? You do?!? Of course you do!!! Renowned guitarist, Buddy Guy is on tour, and it's his swan song, dubbed "Damn Right Farewell." That makes this not only a historic event of epic proportions but also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to check out a living legend performing the hits from his illustrious career as well as new material from his recent #1 album, "The Blues Don't Lie." Guy, known for his electrifying performances and soulful blues sound, will be gracing the stage at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury on Thursday, October 12, 2023 as part of the trek. So for a show with one of the greatest bluesmen alive today, be sure to grab your tickets right here and now before they sell out. It's super-easy to get them, click the "GET TICKETS" button, which is located above and follow the simple steps outlined.
Now 86, Buddy Guy is hanging up his touring boots, but fortunately not the blues. Being his last effort on the road, the trek will see him hit up venues around the world, including India, Brazil, Paris, the Czech Republic, and, of course, the States. Being the last tour he ever does, he is pulling out all the stops for this one.
Famed for taking the Chicago Blues to their peak, Guy has had a storied career. He has been performing for over half a century, doing so by making his own rules, so much so that he has influenced a generation of guitarists that include Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jeff Beck, Keith Richards, and so many more.
He was born on July 30, 1936, and raised in Lettworth, Louisiana. He first learned to play the guitar at a very young age. The guitar was a self-made two string diddley bow. Later on, he was given a Harmony acoustic guitar, which is now in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum.
His style is an eclectic mix of some of the most interesting blends of blues, rock and roll, and soul. His music is unfiltered with a raw edge that creates an amazing effect, and as a showman, he can often be found slashing his guitar within the audience. There is truly nothing else like attending his shows and watching him perform live.
Over the decades, he has created a bag full of hits, eminating from over 30 albums, which has resulted in eight GRAMMY awards and a Lifetime Achievement Award. Rolling Stone even ranked him 23 out of 100 in their "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time." Now you get to experience him in all of his glory on what will be a blues-a-thon of a tour.
From the Cotton Fields to performing at the White House, Guy has done and seen it all. Now this tour brings you his legacy! This is THE Historic event that you cannot afford to miss out on. So without further ado, be sure to grab your tickets right here on this site before the rest of the fans beat you to it.
